SDP is a California program that gives participants more control over their services and budget, including the ability to choose independent, specialized providers like us rather than being limited to traditional regional center vendors. We're enrolled as an SDP vendor, so we can be added directly to a participant's spending plan.
Not at this time. We currently work with families through SDP funding or private pay.
We serve families across LA and OC County, with sessions held in-home, in the community, or wherever best fits the client's goals — the pool, a job site, a store, or elsewhere out in the world.
Because our network is intentionally small, we get to know each client's goals and personality before matching them with a mentor who specializes in the right area — communication, fitness and movement, or vocational and independent living skills.
We start by listening — to the client, and to the people who know them best — so we can understand what actually matters to them before building a plan. From there, sessions move into real-world practice, in the settings where the skills will actually be used.
Our mentors are CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certified, trained in calm, respectful de-escalation. Depending on the service, mentors may also bring specialized backgrounds in areas like AAC, adaptive fitness, or vocational coaching.
Yes. If you're new to the Self-Determination Program, we can connect you with trusted Independent Facilitators and Service Coordinators we've worked with, who can help you navigate enrollment, your spending plan, and the rest of the process.
Reach out by phone or email and we'll talk through your family's goals, funding situation, and which mentor might be the right fit.
